Steve is a humanitarian documentary photographer who has traveled throughout Africa as part of his work. He has documented the human spirit's resiliency and strength in the face of hardship. He is passionate about using photography to tell the stories of people and communities that are frequently marginalized and ignored in an effort to spread awareness and spur action on problems like poverty, health, education, and human rights. While volunteering with local organizations in Africa, Steve developed a passion for humanitarian work that compelled him to use photography and filmmaking for social change. Since then, he has collaborated with numerous NGOs and humanitarian groups, recording their initiatives to better the lives of those in need. Steve is dedicated to producing pictures that are both powerful narrative tools and agents of constructive change. Steve has experience working with various institutions, such as Amref; Y-ACT, Youth PowerHub, Flying Doctors NL, Pathfinder International, USAID, Trentino Volley, and Kenya Red Cross. His expertise is in communication and video editing, and he has worked abroad in the following countries; Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, Angola, South Sudan, and Italy. Steve always seeks new opportunities to collaborate with individuals and organizations who share his passion for humanitarianism and storytelling.
