I originally studied video at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and cut my teeth filming skateboarding in the streets of the city. When I moved to the beautiful beach town of the Outer Banks of North Carolina I took a long break from video. Eventually though, and perhaps it was inevitable, I came back to my first love. I was doing marketing for a chain of artisan coffee roasters when I offered to make their TV commercials. Which I did, using their $89 Kodak Sport camera. I loved the experience and I couldn't believe I'd forgotten how fun it is. Now, 4 years later, my wife and I quit our day jobs and make videos on the beach full-time. Covering all manner of local events, doing wedding films, and corporate stuff. We work with some of the area's most exciting businesses such as The Lost Colony, The NC Aquarium, Outer Banks ACE, Brew Thru, and the Outer Banks Visitor's Bureau, to name a few.
Huge event every year on the Outer Banks. We've covered it many times along with their "Fun Run" and Triathlon. Sometimes we are commissioned by the organizers, sometimes we cover it for the local online newspaper.

I think this video shows off my editing, taking a long and complicated event with multiple cameras which had lots of filming limitations, and ending up with something fun, playful, and subtle.
Biggest St. Patricks Parade in North Carolina, goes on for hours. Convinced Mike Kelly to let me jump on the golf cart as he cruised around.
The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama is the longest-running play of its kind in America. They have been good clients of ours for a number of years. This last year we did a multi camera shoot of part of one of the dance numbers.
