Shashwati Talukdar, Producer/Editor, began working in film and television as an assistant editor for a TV show by Michael Moore (1999). Since then she has edited projects for HBO, BBC, Lifetime, Sundance and Cablevision in New York and is currently working as an independent producer in in East and South Asia through her New York based company, Four Nine and a Half Pictures, Inc. Credits incluce field production of the Taiwan segment of a documentary for the Lego Corporation of Denmark, being directed by Oscar winner Daniel Junge. Independent projects include ‘Please Don’t Beat Me, Sir!’ a feature length documentary that premiered at Busan International Film Festival, ‘Wall Stories’a hybrid documentary, 'The Girl' a narrative Himalyan Gothic short , and 'The Sound of Bombs' an art video to promote Connecticut based writer Sharbari Zohra Ahmed's book, 'The Ocean of Mrs. Nagai.' She lives and works between New York, Taiwan and India.
