Najma Nuriddin of Nsoroma Films LLC established in 2010 is “dedicated to telling organic stories that are unique to the human experience from a cultural perspective. We bridge people and communities together through the arts, striving to be a catalyst for a creative revolution. “Our history is full of rich experiences that must be told and shared. A story untold is a story unknown,” is a native Californian with a B.A in Speech and Communication from San Francisco State University and a Masters in Fine Arts in Film from Howard University. Najma has traveled as a freelance filmmaker working for various independent clients and nonprofits in Washington DC, California and South Africa.

Collin Meyer aka Collin the Bushman was one of the many energetic and talented folk that I met while in IKapa. His chill demeanor, deep knowledge and passion for his community is to be respected for sure! He spends much of his time playing the bow and guitar. He also teaches the indigenous bow instrument to the children in his community. Here's a short video shot in Cape Flats, Bonteheuwel.
Aasim, a young single Muslim man living in Washington DC has an instant connection with a beautiful poet named Kala. After spending more time with her, Aasim realizes she isn't Muslim. He is torn by his new discovery of attraction towards Kala and the principles of his own faith. Length 25min
Shaw Speaks, focuses on a neighborhood in Washington D.C that has and is experiencing gentrification. This documentary takes a close look at Shaw, interviewing new and native residents, compiling together the many changes Shaw has endured.
