I am a freelance journalist with a background in documentary film. In 2012 my independent film, Canary in the Mine, following the political ramifications of the Canadian Asbestos industry screened at film festivals across North America winning the Best Director award at the DocUtah Film Festival in Southern Utah. I have worked on a range of documentaries covering a range of topics: Arctic climate change, African wildlife, North American gun legislation etc. for broadcasters around the world: ARTE and ZDF (Germany), TVO, OMNI, LOVE NATURE, The Knowledge Network and the SMITHSONIAN CHANNEL.
