Alyse Young is a freelance visual journalist based in Seattle, WA. She is a graduate of the photojournalism program at Western Kentucky University where she worked two years as the video editor for the College Heights Herald and held a leadership position in the campus chapter of the National Press Photographers Association. Most recently she worked as an intern and temp for NPR Music's video team. She has also interned for Kertis, a creative agency in Louisville, KY, Josiah Venture in Central and Eastern Europe and Rustic Pathways in Costa Rica. Her work has been recognized by The Hearst Journalism Awards, College Photographer of the Year and the Kentucky News Photographers Association.
