With a 15-year career transitioning from fashion photography to directing films and commercials, his diverse body of work includes film/digital photography, film/video, and installations, with a focus on landscapes, portraiture, and still life. Flavien explores the concept of “parallelism” in his works, reflecting life's multifaceted nature and the simultaneous experiences it presents. He examines the formation of meaning in our information-saturated world, often using autofiction and delving into the essence of imagery and artistic mediums. His art provokes viewers to contemplate their changing perceptions and psychological connections with the moving image. Flavien's minimalist approach maintains a reflective distance yet invites engagement with the profound aspects of human psychology without casting judgment.
