e² is a critically acclaimed, multipart PBS series about the innovators and pioneers who envision a better quality of life on earth: socially, culturally, economically and ecologically. The series explores attainable solutions to pressing environmental and social challenges, and its stories are culled from a variety of fields including design, energy, transport, and urban development. e² is a poetic combination of compelling storytelling, provocative cinematography and an emotive original music score. Not Without Us

Not Without Us follows seven grassroots activists from around the world to the 21st U.N. Climate Talks in Paris. The effects of climate change on their lives reveal what’s at stake if a strong agreement to limit carbon emissions is not reached. Yet, the landmark Paris Accords, signed by 192 nations, is non-binding and fails to mention the main cause of global climate change: fossil fuels. How could this be? Not Without Us connects the dots. Between the inability of the U.N. process to address climate change and Big Oil’s control over governments. Between the greatest economic inequality in the history of mankind and the oncoming climate disaster. Between a fossil fuel driven economy and the 1% who control it. Not Without Us demonstrates the importance of grassroots groups to empower mass movements to create the systemic change we need. Real change that comes not from top down, but the bottom up, organized by social movements to harness the greatest force we have: humanity.

CNN Young Wonder Christina Li

Most 19-year-olds don’t know how to code or build robots, let alone teach others. But that’s exactly what Christina Li is determined to do through Hello World, her annual computer science camp for middle school girls. Christina started her free, weeklong classes as a high school junior in Macomb, Michigan. Today, each camp hosts about 30 girls, in the hopes of bridging the gender gap that exists in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math). Now in her sophomore year at Stanford University, where she is studying computer science and mechanical engineering, Christina will be interning this summer at SpaceX, a company that strives to enable people to live on other planets. “It’s not that I want (the girls) to exactly follow in my footsteps,” Christina said. “I really hope to show them that … their ability is unlimited.”

Adobe commissioned a short documentary to follow photographer Danny Wilcox Frazier through the heartland of America. Frazier provides a much-needed window into the often-misunderstood American heartland. Frazier documents the lives of his fellow Midwesterners—their struggles and joys, their choices and their fates—as their towns and lifestyles undergo transformation.
