He is the producer/director of Candid Pictures - an independent production company founded in 2015 in Beijing, China. With teams stationed in Asia and Latin America, we specialize in bringing amazing stories to life through documentaries, travel series, branded content, TV, and film." China's Snake King
Yang Farong, hails from Zisiqiao, also known as the "Snake Village," just 150KM west of Shanghai. The tiny village, once very poor, is know home to many local entrepreneurs whom make their living from farming venomous snakes and selling the serpents, and their venom, to pharmaceutical companies for traditional Chinese medicine. Yang was the pioneer back in the 80s; he is... the "Snake King".

I directed, shot and edited this ten minute documentary about a special South African - Ian Hamlinton - living in a tiny village in Southern Chinese Province, Guangxi. Ian has fully integrated himself into village life and goes by the name "Crazy Eagle;" a name given to him by the village locals because of his alien ways of doing things.
