Yuri Nagano is an investigative journalist with a focus on business. She shuttles between San Francisco, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Nagano has reported for news organizations including a Financial Times related publication, Bloomberg BNA, Los Angeles Times, Associated Press, International New York Times, The Economist and Public Radio International. She started her career as a staff producer for Japan’s public broadcasting network NHK, where she won awards for her programs. Nagano has helped grow the AAJA Asia chapter since 2010; and she has served as the chapter’s Co-President.
The clip is just one of a series of video news packages done for a social media news project by Tokyo-based production company Pacific Bridge Media & Consulting. Yuri has produced, shot, edited and added graphics to many of the pieces for this project. In this version, Yuri does the voice over for the piece as well.
