Exploring the horizons of parallel cinema and experimenting with the modern techniques of drama production, Ali Haider is a young and vibrant student of Film and Television Production at Punjab University. His so far projects deal with the wide range of media production both in content and format such as ‘Manto Ke Sath Aik Nishast’ and ‘Daku-Mentary’, a situational comedy play. Ali Haider has already made his mark in international film festivals as his most recent venture ‘Kath Putli’, secured top position in Vesakh International Film Festival, 2012. Also his documentary ‘Let the Wooden Dolls Dance’ was nominated in two of the renowned international film festivals. He is determined to revive the charisma of television screen that ruled the hearts of viewers and was marked by the quality of content in 70’s and 80’s, but with the blend of modern production techniques. Embodying the same vision, he has done the adaptation of Ashfaq Ahmed’s play ‘Adam Zaad’.
Old Puppeteer’s sons are not willing to learn the intricacies of the traditional art which their father has been practicing for more than five decades. Lateef is a folk puppeteer while his sons, watching their father lamenting in the dark of ignorance, prefer selling eggs to earn their livings. This documentary film is a journey to re-explore the charisma of this dying art; folk Puppets.

Pakistan Women and Education brings into light the various dimensions of this prevailing issue.
