We look at how women working on plantations are abused in Uganda.Sexual violence, low pay, Work denial to breastfeeding mothers, no maternity leave, etc are some of the dull moments faced by a Ugandan local working woman. Teamed up with AAIU under the supervision of Esther Kisembo to achieve this FGG piece.

Water For People, a non-governmental organization together with Ministry of Water and Environment with funding from Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council piloted a project - Scaling up household sanitation and hygiene in urban centres with Kole, Nansana and Pallisa chosen as the pilot hubs. The project, which focused on strengthening faecal sludge management in urban areas sought to address the increasing number of people affected by lack of sanitation services along the value chain by using a market- based approach. Together with Yvonne Luggali who also served as my immediate supervisor from Water for People, we put these voices together from day one. Thanks to the whole team.

ActionAid International Uganda, together with other Civil society organizations, communities and individuals to implement the second phase of the Fair Green & Global (FGG) project in Uganda. The project was implemented in Amuru, Mubende and Kween districts, covering thematic areas of Land rights, climate resilience and taxation. AAIU worked on building capacities of community members to stand for their rights to land ownership, compensation of displaced communities and fair taxation for all. Following the implementation of this project, success stories have been registered in areas of Apaa (Amuru), Kaweri (Mubende) and Benet (Kween).
11 little girls perished in a dormitory fire at Salama School of the blind in Uganda, Mukono district. I filmed with my counterpart Partrick Onen, Khalid Kezia being our oncall supervisor.
During the 2021 general elections in Uganda, I had the opportunity to work with the Associated Press team from Nairobi which included Joe and Josephat Kasirye on different stories this one included. It was a pleasure.
