Tiago Marconi undergraduated in audiovisual communication at University of São Paulo in 2006 and started making videos in 2008 at news website G1 (http://g1.com.br). From 2011to 2015, he has been making minidocs for Pesquisa Fapesp, a science news journal published by São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp). Nowadays, he is partner in the production company Peripécia Filmes.
In the 19th Century, 1 million slaves were traded through the Valongo Wharf, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This story started being uncovered when remains were found during renovations in the area for the 2016 Olympic Games. Now, transdisciplinary work including historians, archaeologists, geneticists and pathologists may finally bring light to one of the most terrible crimes ever commited.
