I am a multi-media journalist and lawyer with vast experience in the Great-Lakes region adept at delivering well-packaged stories, investigations and special reports for an African and global audience. I can generate content for print, television and digital platforms. I have a good grasp of Africa’s history, the region’s common law jurisprudence, aspects of gender, culture and minority rights. I can deliver reports, which capture the distinct aspects of Africa and its people with flair, report on conflict, humanitarian crises with impartiality, fairness and objectivity. I am a co-founder and Editor of The East African Centre for Investigative Reporting Ltd (EACIR), a non-profit media organization, which is publishing through Vox Populi. (voxpopuli.ug). One of our major staples is fact-checking and we have a dedicated webpage “Ukweli Check.” I am employed as a Political/Investigations Editor at the flagship Nation Media Group (NMG), the largest media house in East & Central Africa. I have occasionally collaborated and produced films with the London-based Insight: The World Investigates, a production house which has done profound investigative stories in Africa, the Doha-based Al-Jazeera television, TRT World based in Instabul and I have also written for South Africa’s Sunday Times and produced films for Vice Media Group, a US based media organisation.
