I am a Berlin-based videographer and video editor from the Netherlands. My work ranges from reportages, short documentaries, trailers, event videos and animations, primarily but not exclusively in the fields of culture and science. I'm looking forward to woking with you.
Distant Companions is based on the stories of Mariam, Chantal, and Milan. In the midst of the early pandemic Uta Plate and Aaike Stuart met up with these youths multiple times in order to playfully delve into their inner fantasy worlds. The audience accompanies the three young people on a magical journey during those extraordinary days of social isolation.
The S.K.A.T. (Senior Art Academy for Dance) series of events at the Centre Francais Berlin is an extensive, ambitious programme that brings different aspects of contemporary dance closer to in particular - but not only - elderly people. The reportage accompanies the ten rounds of events and gets choreographers and participants to speak.
Fundstadt is a participatory film and music project centered around six children from Bremen and Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The video portraits blend personal imaginary worlds with bits of the very diverse life realtities of 10 to 12 year olds.

Questions and interactions - these were the core elements of the "Centre of Curiosity", to which the German Research Foundation (DFG) invited people on the last weekend of June 2020. Citizens were asked to submit questions, which were addressed in various performative formats. The video is illustrated by animations.
Offensive Tanz aims to inspire enthusiasm for dance as an art form from an early age, even beyond the theatre. It puts on performances in public spaces outside the city centre and produces its own dance pieces. The project trailer presents the projects of the past year.
