About
Peter G. Forest is the owner of Forest Photography, LLC that was founded in January 2013. The LaPlace, Louisiana native has very recently joined the Storyhunter team and is a contract photographer who has been working throughout the south Louisiana Regional area since 2008. Forest photographs a wide variety of subjects ranging from aerial, construction, disaster aftermath, documentation, music events, sports and news media coverage. He has previously worked as a freelance photographer for The Times-Picayune newspaper since 2010. Prior to working in photography, Forest was the media relations’ director in the athletic departments of Alabama State, Alcorn State and Grambling State Universities. He is a 1991 graduate of Southern University-Baton Rouge who received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies (Broadcasting). Forest has worked a freelance writer for the Associated Press in which he covered college basketball games in the Dallas-Fort Worth area during the 1997-98 season. He was a former member of various national organizations such as the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), Football Writers Association of America, Louisiana Sportswriters Association, College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the Black College Sports Information Directors Association (BCoSIDA).

Benjamin Watson Reads Dr. Seuss on Carnival Triumph - The Times-Picayune
New Orleans Saints tight end Benjamin Watson participated in the "Dr. Seuss Summer Word Challenge" by reading the book "What Pet I Should Get" on the Carnival Triumph Cruise liner at the Port of New Orleans. The children were from New Orleans-based NORDC and Homer Plessy School along with Baton Rouge based Beacon Light Summer Enrichment Camp. All three entities each received a $5,000 donation.

Jefferson Dollars for Scholars Donating Laptops - The Times-Picayune
Jefferson Dollars for Scholars program presented laptop computers to students who have received Jefferson Dollars for Scholars college scholarships at their facility. This scholarship is in conjunction with the Louisiana TOPS program's full 4-year scholarships at the various state schools. About 111 students from Jefferson Parish public schools were awarded laptops along with their scholarships.
