Sasa (pronounced Sasha) Woodruff is radio and video journalist who focuses on making beautiful and compelling videos about food. She is a contributor to the new food platform, Nom and author of an award-winning Vine channel. Sasa’s six-second films documenting her travels and food adventures in Central Europe won Viner of the Year at the Taste Awards. With more than two decades in the broadcast news arena, Sasa has reported, produced and edited for major news outlets including NPR, Public Radio International and American Public Media. Now a handful of residents are trying to bring fresh food and health awareness into the area by planting edible gardens in an area riddled with fast food restaurants.
