Nicolas Bock is a freelance journalist/cameraman/editor, located in Beijing, China, who has previously worked for such international news networks as Canada’s Global National and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Radio-Canada (CBC). His experience of seven years at CBC includes three years abroad in the network’s Washington bureau, and for the past 2.5 years, Nicolas has worked for Global National in Beijing. It was during his time at the network that Global National became the first Canadian winner of the National Murrow Awards for overall excellence in network television. Previously, Nicolas trained at Quebec’s Cégep de Jonquière, completing his studies in art et technologie des médias (art and media technology). Now freelancing in China for majors networks (ABC, Al-Jazeera, CNN and many more) he understand well the way to make good stories from the middle empire.
