VR Hospital Training
The Problem: A local hospital needed to train home nurses and care givers on how to operate different hospital bed models before they purchased them for their clients. The beds were categorized according to ease of use and ease of operation. The Interpretation: Based on the challenge the client was facing, we thought of using virtual reality as the medium of choice. the reason for this was due to the immersion that VR offers, it is distraction free since you are blocked off in your own environment to focus on learning and the actions/gestures made in VR will directly translate in the real world. The Solution: The solution was a practical VR Training simulator that placed the users in a hospital lobby with the freedom to move about and select the bed model they were interested in. After selecting the model, the users were taken to a space where they could explore and interact with the bed model as they would in real life. This helped them familiarize themselves with the bed features before making a decision on which one to acquire.
