Gigi is an Italian born documentary Producer/Director from Milan now based in Bangkok. In recent years he has produced several short form documentaries, which have been screened at over a hundred festivals globally and won over 25 awards. Gigi is specialized in character driven observational documentaries. His work normally features very intimate access to the lead characters and very gentle camera work. Having produced films in Burma, Vietnam and Thailand, he is a specialist of the Southeast Asian region. His most recent work has taken him to Ecuador and to Burkina Faso where he produced “Rachel’s HIV Revolution” for Al-Jazeera Witness. He is currently finalising a feature documentary about the creation of a health system by the ethic minorities in the remote Burma.
