Bakhtiar Khattak is a Pashto singer and host born in Nowshera while raised in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After a Master in Business Administration, Bakhtiar Khattak started his career in Music, He recorded his first song in 2000 which was picturized in Qila Darawar Cholistan andon-aired on leading TV channels of Pakistan i.e PTV World, STN & UNI. In 2003 he released his first Pashto album named “Nan yawazy ym” having 10 songs that gained a good number of listeners. When in 2004 1st Pashto exclusive channel AVT Khyber broadcasted their services Bakhtiar Khattak was one of the pioneers of modern Pashto singers who changed the paradigm of the Pashto music industry. His famous Pashto tappa track i.e “Yadoona” was the first tappa that was on-aired on this channel. After this track, he gave some great tracks in the early days on AVT Khyber. In 2007 Bakhtiar Khattak was offered the managerial level job at AVT Khyber. And he served as Manager Creative, Head of Audio Department, and Head of Entertainment Section at Karachi and later Dubai. In 2009 Bakhtiar Khattak established state-of-the-art audio & video production house named Latoon Production, which produced more than a thousand tracks, and featured almost all singers of the Pashto industry in the crucial war on terror. Along with signing & music production, he has been hosting TV shows on AVT Khyber such as Khyber beats, Nawy Rang, Khyber Sahar, Da awazono safar & Stayeena. “Stayeena” was the most popular shows till date which bridged the classical and folk artist to the new technology & media while “nawy Rang” show hunted more than 100 new Singers for the Pashto music Industry.
