I-Hwa Cheng is a Taiwanese photojournalist based in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012 before beginning her photojournalism career. She started out as a staff photographer for the national newspaper the United Daily News in Taiwan for 5 years before venturing into freelancing. Currently she’s been working mostly for Bloomberg, Reuters and Agence France-Presse as a multimedia journalist producing both photos and videos. Her works have been published globally with titles including New York Times, CNN, Bloomberg, Associated Press, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Initium Media, AFP, The Daily Telegraph, Financial Times,Libération. She also received two Honorable Mention from the International Photography Awards 2021 of her photography works. She also has been working as a filmmaker with Eastern Standard Times which is a Los Angeles-based media platform sharing stories from Asia to the world. A group of inmates of Changhua Prison is discovering the benefits of drumming and meditation with the help of percussion troupe U-Theatre. By working with U-Theatre, the inmates said that they have learned to concentrated and focus.

On 6 February 2016, an earthquake with a moment magnitude of 6.4 struck 28 km (17 mi) southern Taiwan, causing widespread damage and 117 deaths. Almost all of the deaths were caused by a collapsed residential building,named Weiguan Jinlong. After a year, we followed five survivors to know what they have been doing. One of them has lost 7 of her family members a night.

There is a beautiful place hidden in Sanqi Village, Dongshan Township which is a secret wonderland in Yilan, Taiwan.When the green rice field turns yellow between late June and early July every year, you can see the yellow rice waves and the winding road at one glance without being interrupted by the telephone poles.People are only allowed to walk or bike here.
