While my most recent experience has been in journalism, I also have over seven years of experience working behind the scenes. I've been an editor, producer, reporter, and director for different programs. I recently co-founded Toughington Post with two other Medill graduates. Toughington Post is Chicago's source for web media and is growing every day.
Opening day in Chicago's Wrigleyville is one of the most festive, loud, and intoxicating days of the year. Toughington Post went into Wrigleyville with five cameras to record myself taking part in the festivities. The video provides an inside look for Chicagoans that were unable to attend, and for opening day fans around the country.
When The Panama Papers story broke, a lot of people either didn't care, or didn't understand what they were. Toughington Post wrote a short skit to try and clear things up. I was involved in producing, acting, and editing for this video.
Chicago's Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) is the "Comic-Con of the Midwest." Thousands of people were in attendance, and almost everyone was sporting some sort of costume. Toughington Post is a huge fan of comics and movies, so they had some fun at the event.
Donald Trump held a rally at UIC in Chicago, but it was canceled due to a threat of violence. Toughington Post attended the rally, where I directed, produced, and edited this short documentary-style video.
