Javier Solana Madariaga (Madrid, 1942) has a degree in Physical Sciences and Doctor Honoris Causa from the London School of Economics. He was elected deputy for Madrid in 1977 and, after the victory of the PSOE in 1982, holds the positions of Minister of Culture, Minister of Education and Science and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He was the Secretary General of NATO from 1995 to 1999, the year in which he took office as High Representative for Foreign Policy and Common Security of the European Union. Iñaki Gabilondo Pujol (San Sebastián, 1942) is one of the most important figures of journalism in Spain. Graduated from the University of Navarra, he has been news director of TVE, director of the Hoy por Hoy program on Cadena SER, one of the most popular spaces on Spanish radio, presenter of Cuatro news and collaborator with CNN +, El País and Canal +, among other media. His work has been recognized with six Ondas Awards, three Antena de Oro awards and two Golden Microphone Awards, among many other awards. He is also the 2012 Tomás y Valiente Award for his commitment to democracy and fundamental freedoms.
