A kidnapped family man has his life hanging in the balance as a pair of highwaymen decide his fate. It is a true story, based on the day our Director’s father was kidnapped in Mexico. The point of our film however is not to simply recount the details of this kidnapping, but rather, tell a broader story of what life is like for people living in certain parts of Mexico. It is a slice of life film not meant to scare, but to educate those who are not fully aware of the struggles some people face on a day-to-day basis. We want Cuello to show people what is possible in 8 days with a dedicated team, and if you consider us for your festival, we guarantee audiences will have never experienced anything like this in a short film format.
