I am a filmmaker originally from Kashmir, currently residing in Islamabad. Upon graduating in Mass Communication, I ventured into the captivating world of storytelling. Fueling my passion further, I pursued a Master's degree in Film and TV, which allowed me to delve into various facets of film language and expand my understanding of the craft. In my professional journey, I have been involved in creating small-budget documentaries such as "The Third Option," which delves into the exploration of fundamental rights, and "Shahdoly," a poignant exploration of Microcephaly in Pakistan. Additionally, I have also undertaken projects involving the production of short films, enabling me to refine my skills as a filmmaker further. Furthermore, I possess expertise in operating drones and serve as a Director of Photography (DoP), adding a layer of skill and creativity to my repertoire.

The 3rd option
Kashmir remained an Independent state with a number of states at its disposal for centuries. The kings of Kashmir gained fame and raided the states outside of Kashmir; however, it is no longer a reality. For the last 75 years, Kashmiris have struggled to get their fundamental human rights. Freedom or Independence is one of the rights Kashmiris are struggling for. This documentary, The 3rd Option: KASHMIR - A question of Independence, attempts to identify Kashmiri's desire for freedom and where the 3rd option (Independent Jammu Kashmir) actually exists. It mainly focuses on the Pakistani side of Jammu Kashmir and includes interviews with locals and political leadership.

Mattu - Microcephaly in Pakistan
Religious orthodoxy, superstitious beliefs, and mass illiteracy can pave the way for social exploitation. One such startling case of child abuse, fuelled by religious dogmatism, comes from the Islamic State of Pakistan. Children suffering from microcephaly, a rare neurological disorder, are reduced to the status of animals in Pakistan. Often referred to as ‘chuhas’ or rats by people, these children are characterized by abnormally small heads, round jaws, and disfigured foreheads. The following documentary attempts to understand why the following family has this disease in the remote village of Neelum Valley, Kashmir, including the family interview.
