I'm a freelance video journalist, documentary director and cinematographer. I have made short docs/reports for AJ+, HBO, Fusion, The Huffington Post, and various dutch outlets. I have also made commercial videos for Mercedes-Benz and Vodafone. And for big theatre productions in the Netherlands as well. Born and raised in Amsterdam, lived, studied and worked on various continents. I speak English, Spanish and Dutch fluently and basic German and French.

Bas was wonderful to work with on this shoot, which required that he be flexible and attentive to many last-minute details. He knew the space well and was able to get a wide range of broll and interiview footage, giving us a lot to choose from. Looking forward to future projects with him.

In a suburb of Buenos Aires is a shoe store that has become a pilgrimage for hipsters from around the world. Carlos Ruiz, owner for 34 years, had an intuition when the economic crisis hit. He bought up all the Adidas shoes from around the country. Last year, Adidas made a video about this retro treasure trove – and a hipster Mecca was born. Now, the 15th of October, Adidas will come by again.

For master miller Maarten Dolman, work is always a grind. Dolman is one of the last remaining millers in the Netherlands. He grinds flour for bread baking as well as special mixes for cookies and cakes. Dolman invites us to take a tour of his windmill. Built in 1732, it’s one of the most famous in Holland.
