Christopher Wise grew up skiing and wandering the woods of Vermont. He has worked as a photographer based in Bangkok since 2001. Assignments range from whole hearted indulgence in the 5-star resorts of the Maldives to hard scrabble trips up the Andaman Islands looking for the elusive Jawara people to following renowned expert in Thai cuisine, David Thompson, along the length and breadth of Thailand. Before pursuing photography he was a graphic designer in New York with his own design agency. His work has been published in every travel magazine in the world. Since 2019 he has been creating story telling videos for his brand Fantastic Food Search.

It's also the food —a crash-course in Thai-Muslim dishes, ranging from a vibrant mutton biryani to a fragrant mataba; and the unintentionally comforting retro interiors; and the septuagenarian cook who's been in the kitchen since he was a teenager.

A large format photography book for the Anantara luxury hotel brand. The book documents the food culture of the countries and regions where Anantara hotels are located. The photography covers images of markets, local cooks and shoppers, ingredients, specialties as well as emblematic scenery. The book also has images of prepared dishes with recipes from the hotels’ kitchens.
