Cecilia Guardati is an Emmy award-winning journalist and producer with a critical eye for stories with original angles and strong visual power that contribute to understanding the changing world we live in. She is passionate about tackling political conflicts and is particularly interested in female characters and their own conflicts. She works as an executive producer at JUT Media, a non-fiction multimedia production company that develops journalistic projects in digital and TV media, guaranteeing quality news, access to characters and a unique approach. For the last 20 years she has covered political and social conflicts, mainly in Europe and North Africa. Although he has spent most of his career in a news agency, he has also directed multimedia projects and worked in front of the camera for major Spanish-language networks such as Telemundo. Among his most recent freelance coverage, she worked as a field correspondent during the first months of the war in Ukraine. Her work for Telemundo has won her an Emmy Award. She has also reported extensively on the humanitarian situation of migrants and refugees arriving at Europe's borders.
We have provided on-the-ground coverage with special reports for CGTN from the Atlas Mountains, south of Marrakech, the area that was devastated by the earthquake that struck Morocco in September 2023. An experienced JUT Media team (reporter, cameraman and editor) has been deployed to the disaster area and we have conducted interviews and reports for China's public broadcasters.
I worked as a field correspondent in the Ukrainian war for NBCUniversal's Telemundo network, producing reports and reporting live from the conflict zone. The special report "Putin's Anger" aired two weeks into Russia's invasion of Ukraine. My work on the ground won the News Emmys Award for Coverage of a Breaking News Story.
