About

Nathan Reich is a filmmaker and musician originally from the San Francisco East Bay. He holds an MFA in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford University, a Certificate in Documentary Media Studies from The New School, and a BM from the Berklee College of Music. His most recent documentary work, The Warming Shed, was featured in shortened form as a New York Times Op-Doc, and received an award for "Best Editing" in the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival. His prior work, Heavy Fog Tonight, was selected for screening at several festivals including DOC NYC, Slamdance, Full Frame, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, SF Doc Fest and Chicago Underground Film Festival where it received honorable mention for Best Portrait. Raj and The Rebellion premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest, Nantucket Film Festival and was featured in Salon Magazine. Since 2010 Nathan has recorded five albums, toured extensively internationally, and his songs have been licensed worldwide including on NBC's acclaimed series Parenthood, NPR, MTV and Spotify Official Playlist. He has toured and played guitar for many bands including Foreign Fields and TV Star turned musician, David Duchovny.
