Andy Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American filmmaker based in Saigon. He received an MFA in Film Directing at Columbia University. He’s known for his work as an editor on Vietnamese feature films such as “Em Là Bà Nội Của Anh” (2015) and “Người Bất Tử” (2018). He’s also produced the American thriller "My First Kiss and the People Involved" (2016) that premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and streamed on Amazon Prime. This year, Andy wrote, directed and produced his first feature film “Fanti” (2023) and was awarded Best Directorial Debut at the prestigious Vietnam Film Festival.

“Fanti” is about a young, blossoming instagirl named Anh Duong who uses her social media following to climb to the top of the showbiz world. As Duong’s star rises, she attracts the attention of a mysterious fan who intends to reveal all of Duong’s darkest secrets. Does he want to destroy Duong of does he want to teach her a lesson?
