I'm a journalist and Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker in California. I’ve produced, directed, and edited short documentaries for The Nation, The Intercept, KQED, Story of Stuff, and Participant Media, and field produced for PBS Frontline. I directed a feature documentary on Trump voters, called "Trumpland," for the Fusion Network, which was nominated for an Emmy. My print stories have appeared in The New Republic, The Intercept, Gawker, VICE News, The Nation, Salon, In These Times, and The Awl. I have a Master’s Degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley.
