Humans are a creature of habit. Yet sometimes change comes our way. We may have expectations on how they will impact our life but we won’t know for sure until it arrives. Fear of change can lead us to be anxious, closed off or even prejudiced, but by rejecting it, we may end of with nothing.
Apply critical thinking approach in design methods. The goal was to develop a speculative narrative and object based on the critical thinking approach. We looked into the emerging themes in user experience design and value sensitive design. Delved into trends, forecasting and were to develop hypothetical near-futures artefacts and stories on the topic of user experience.
Observe, analyse and map out the ways the Estonian passenger railway network communicates to the user. Offer solutions to improve the general passenger information in train stations: routes & zones / tickets / timetables etc. What types of information is needed in train stations? How detailed should the information be & in which languages? As there is probably a lot of overlap with information necessary in the trains, then can the signage be made modular to work in different situations?
