About

Edu León is a Spanish photographer . His work focuses on social conflicts and has devoted more time to migration issues. In Europe, together with the photographer, Olmo Calvo developed a project called "Invisible Borders" (www.fronterasinvisibles.org) that shows the situation at European borders and identity controls in Spain. He has also worked with international organizations such as the Red Cross, Amnesty International, Intermón Oxfam, among others. Media collaborator like El País, Univisión Noticias and Getty Images in Latin America, and their images have been published in international media such as The Guardian, Time, Newsweek, Vice News, New York Times. Filmmaker for organizations such as UN Volunteers, CARE Ecuador, Aldea Foundation. -Instructor of various workshops with the indigenous community of Ecuador and population in human mobility -Training of audiovisual producers and creation of the communication network of the peoples and nationalities of zone 1 of Ecuador held during the month of May 2014. -The photo-voice workshop "Other looks, other realities" aimed at migrants residing in Quito. "Migrating is Touching Earth", an exhibition within the Ibero-American Congress on Trafficking, which tells the reality of the Venezuelan exodus through a sound and visual journey along the path they take to leave their country.
