For more than 25 years Christoph Lerch has worked as a cameraman in almost every genre including: tv reports for SPIEGELTV, like the New York Festival award winning „Last Stop Homeland“, literature magazines for Deutsche Welle TV, documentaries for ARTE and docudramas for ZDF and ARD such as the award winning „Der Tunnel“. Filmportraits on artists and designer like Wolfgang Joop, Kiki Smith, Campino, Jenny Holzer, Markus Lüpertz, Nina Hagen, Jim Rakete, Helge Schneider, Annette Humpe, Max Raabe, Hanns Haacke, Hans Neuenfels, Bud Spencer, Richard Meier, Peter Eisenman, Alvaro Siza Vieira, Susanne Lothar, David Chipperfield. He was DP on the German prime time tv series „Hinter Gittern“, for which he has shot over 50 episodes. Currently Christoph focuses his energies on filming documentaries. He loves to light faces and shoot handheld. Christoph is living in Berlin and New Orleans.
