Hi, my Name is Alex White, I’m a motion designer and animator for my studio Blue Dog Motion. When I was a little kid I thought animation was pure magic. Now that I’m an adult I know that it is. Stories told in animation have resonated in me my entire life in ways nothing else could. That's why a year into the pandemic I left my role at Nexstar as a promotions producer to start my own animation and motion design studio. It felt like the world was falling apart and I wanted to help piece it back together. My goal is to work with organizations that are actually addressing real issues like climate change, wealth inequality and racial injustice and help their message resonate with people through animation. Between my experience making commercials, promotions, web ads, titles, and other graphics in local television and as a freelancer, I've developed a strong skillset in editing, copywriting, digital illustration, photography, videography, VFX and most importantly, animation (2D and 3D). I hope to master animation and grow my motion design studio to support a small staff which can pursue entertainment and commercial work.

During my tenure at WGMB/WVLA, I had the opportunity to write, shoot, foley, edit and VFX composite two commercials for Grease Monkey.

The director of Feek's Vision (Still in production) wanted to add life to a series of illustrations he had commissioned for his documentary so he brought me on to animate these illustrations in 2.5D. He ultimately hired me to produce the entire set of illustrations for his documentary.

I produced this 3d model and animation for Eye Wander Studios' corporate video for their client based on reference images.
I originally produced the graphics for the NXT Entrepreneur Podcast and went on to produce the podcast itself for a few months. This meant directing, producing, recording, editing, sound design and motion graphics animation.
Everything Benefits already had an internally-produced video to onboard their new customers, but wanted a more professional pass on it. I cleaned it up, unified their branding elements, applied motion graphics and provided a new logo animation.
