I was born in Santiago of Chile in ’88. I grew up led by my goal of being an Artist, Actor and Musician. The years passed and my dreams have become my job, and my hobbies, my career. I graduated from University of Chile with a BA on Filmmaking. Afterwards, I studied screenwriting in Argentina. I’ve had the pleasure of participating in hundreds of award winning audiovisual shorts and feature films; working as Director, Screenwriter, Cinematographer, Sound, Acting. I’m also proud of being one of the founders of one of the most important Music/Documentary projects in Chile: “La Vitrola”. We earned the “National Music Prize President of the Republic”, in the year 2016. Academically, I’ve worked as a post-production teacher at MacPC Institute in Santiago. Nowadays, I’ve got my energy focused in finding new horizons that will nurture me as a filmmaker and advance my working skills, aside of being Director of a TV show about La Vitrola.

I am a DP based in New York City. My most recent experience here in New York has primarily been in music videos, commercials, and corporate video. Due to this diverse workflow, it has given me expertise in a variety of production crafts. I enjoy experimenting with lighting, lenses and filters in order to create an original look as seen my music videos. I feel that is where my talents shine through. My fifteen years of experience in video editing, motion graphics, color correction, helps to minimize the post-production challenges of finishing on schedule and staying within the budget. I am capable of seeing through a project in it's entirety from inception to final delivery, including treatments, storyboarding, production and editing. I see myself as a director of photography who thinks like an editor, an editor who thinks like a director, and an artistic independent filmmaker who also fits comfortably into the most formal corporate environment. My wide array of experience and knowledge is a valuable asset to any production as a cinematographer, editor or director.

Over the past 20 years, my leadership as a creative director with expertise in motion graphics and production has guided companies from start-up to prominent positions in the industries of film and broadcast television, life sciences, and health and wellness. After working with well known companies such as Viacom and ABC as well as producing several personal projects, I founded Lost Dreams Studios, LLC in 1997. Lost Dreams built an exceptional reputation in both broadcast and life sciences, delivering award-winning work for interactive, video, and live event work. In 2007, I founded Merge Creative Media to continue the ground breaking work started at Lost Dreams with the goal of catering a more diverse set of clientele. In addition to leadership duties, I have been published in numerous industry publications including POST, Videography, Pharmaceutical Market Europe, and many others. I have a B.A. in communications and film and a minor in photography from the University of Iowa. This has allowed me to bring both a theoretical and practical approach to my clients and their projects. It is important to me to continue to drive award winning projects and I remain committed to pushing companies in new directions, ensuring success for years to come.

[THE REASON YOU WANT TO HIRE ME] (note: if you don't need any convincing, cut to the chase below.) With over two decades of production experience across multiple markets, genres and platforms, Keith is a highly refined collaborator for agencies, networks, production companies, and artists, offering a portfolio that combines award-winning camera work with the kind of post-production credits you'd expect from a master at storytelling. Beyond just lighting in a bottle, Keith is a filmmaker with trench-warfare experience and a global worldview that can summon magic on a deadline. And with that said- -If you're the type of producer that I enjoy collaborating with, chances are that you learned long ago that everything in that first paragraph is only one half of the battle- the other half is spent problem-solving, troubleshooting, mitigating risk, exercising diplomacy, being graceful under pressure, making the unexpected look easy, placing people at ease, getting the most out of talent, being technical enough to understand machine systems (while being scrappy enough to fix anything with a leatherman), improvisational copy-writing, critical thinking, putting out fires (or knowing how to rub two sticks and start one), knowing how to make two nickels look like a quarter, or in other words, taking whatever budget we are given and knowing how to make it look like a million. And with that said, -If your enthusiasm is counter-balanced by the fact that it takes a very big ego to write that second paragraph, and you are wondering whether or not I really have what it takes to follow instructions, listen carefully, take notes, follow the branding guide, or otherwise exceed expectations, please know this: No matter what my position on set, I serve at the pleasure of my director, producer, or creative in charge, and the day is never complete until I know that I've made you look very, very good. [THE CHASE] If you are considering me for a shoot: My minimum rate includes a Sony FS7 mkII and Fujinon MK Cine zoom lenses or a Canon C300mkII with a set of CNE primes. Both packages come bundled with a Sachtler video 18, a shoulder rig, a pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones, one Sennheiser AVX lavalier/ENG mic combo, a Sennheiser shotgun, and if needed, a field monitor calibrated for REC 709 or DCP 4K. My B-Cameras consist of a Sony A7S mkII, a Canon 1DX mkIII, and a Sachtler ACE. if you are considering me for an edit: My base systems are Mac and Windows manufacturer flagships from late 2019/early 2020 and are built with an Nvidia RTX 2080(or ATI respectively). This translates to fast edits in Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere, fast 3D rendering in After Effects, and if needed, fast color-correction in Davinci resolve. In both instances, I've recently discovered that Frame.IO makes for wonderfully fast screening and markup of raw footage, string-outs, or rough cuts, even in situations where you only have access to your smartphone in a rural area. If you have further questions, you can find me on Signal, ping me on WhatsApp, or text my cell phone at 1+x. Thank you for your time and consideration. Nicole followed that beat and is in post-production on her second feature documentary, BULLETPROOF STOCKINGS, about the first all-female Hasidic rock band. It won the Doc-a-chusetts Pitch, LEF Moving Image grant and Cambridge art grants, and was a finalist at Fork Films and Chicken & Egg. Nicole also makes documentary shorts and series.
