Scott Dalton is a documentary photographer and filmmaker living in Houston, Texas. He was based for 14 years throughout Latin America, mainly in Bogotá, Colombia, where he covered the civil conflict and drug war before returning to his home state of Texas. He now does editorial and corporate assignments while spending his free time working on long-term personal projects. Currently he is working along the U.S.-Mexico border as well as projects throughout the American South. His documentary film, LA SIERRA, won numerous awards and has been broadcast by PBS, BBC, HBO Latino, and many other international broadcasters. After a career of over 35 years working as a tax accountant, the inner drive of photography & videography has overcome my desires of ticking and tying numbers on a daily basis. I have been passionate photographer all of my life and have leveraged that passion by using film to tell the stories of others. One of the most important early works I have achieved is capturing the story of Sergeant Major James Williams, the last known living Buffalo Soldier. His story has lead me to understand that there are others with passionate life stories that will go unknown unless someone tells that story. My works will continue to grow as I capture stories of others who have shaped our American society. Bex Rodriguez is a filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. As a full-time freelancer since 2013, Bex has worked on countless docs, commercials and music videos. Recently, Bex worked as a DP for Hulu, NPR, AT&T, The Daily Show, and most recently HBO. Bex’s goals are shooting and directing documentaries with a focus on women and minorities. She has traveled to Morocco to DP the disappearing culture of the nomadic people in the Sahara. Bex not only DPs but has recently discovered directing. From Sol to Seoul, a rock climbing doc following a young woman’s journey from her farm in Colorado to the granite mountains of South Korea, is her latest film in post production.
