I am a DoP and editor based in Wellington with 10+ years experience in editing, cinematography, lighting and camera with own equipment (Canon 5D full cine rig w/ full set Zeiss prime lenses), and a member of the New Zealand Cinematographers Society (N.Z.C.S). I have DoP'd 2 feature films, 25+ short films, shooting on formats ranging between DSLR (5D) to RED Epic to 16mm film, numerous music videos, and countless corporate & training videos. I have shot and edited a number of documentaries and corporate videos in the documentary/out of studio style and am currently shooting a feature film 'mockumentary'. Notable corporate jobs have been shooting for FIFA, Coca Cola, BP, DoC, Wellington Phoenix, NZDF, PriceWaterhouse Cooper, Government House Wellington and The Crown. A number of these were directed by myself. On top of this I have also been editing, using Final Cut Pro, for 10+ years and have a great eye and talent for taking raw footage shot for a documentary or corporate video and turning it in to a flowing story on screen. I also have experience with Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and sound editing within FCP and Soundtrack Pro which I use all from my home edit suite.

I'm a New Zealand based journalist whose work has appeared in the International New York Times, the Guardian, the Sydney Morning Herald and National Geographic Traveller. I have worked in Africa, Indonesia, East Timor, Italy and India and covering everything from food crises and peacekeeping to the Venice Bienale and cricketing. I was a finalist for the Senior Feature Writer of the Year at the 2012 Canon Media Awards and won the 2014 award for Innovation in Multimedia Storytelling for Lost in the Long White Cloud – an interactive longform project. I won Junior Reporter of the Year in 2011 and was a finalist in the Junior Feature Writer categories in both 2010 and 2011. I was named Cathay Pacific Travel Writer of the Year in 2012.
