I co-own Red Riding Hood Productions, a women-run production company creating content for people, brands, and media outlets. Jordan Gass-Pooré is a senior English and mass communication double major at Texas State University. The moment she laid hands on a newspaper and her fingers were stained with black ink that she could smear on her older cousin’s white clothes, she was hooked. Since then, Jordan has been on a mighty crusade to prove that the pen is mightier than the sword, sharpening her writing skills through internships with the Los Angeles News Group, Austin American-Statesman and San Antonio Express-News, among others, and working with high school students as an English tutor and mentor. Jordan lived in Canterbury, England, for six months in 2010 and looks forward to returning, hopefully as a reporter with The Guardian in London.

Multi-media journalist. One man band. I started off as a part-time PA, mainly working in Computer Graphics / Audio Technician / Camera Operator roles in news production for three daily newscasts for KLDO/KXOF in Laredo, Texas. After a few months, I was promoted to full-time multimedia journalist covering international border issues such as the shooting of a Department of Homeland Security helicopter near the Rio Grande River. Afterwards, I joined the team at KGNS, also from Laredo, Texas, as a multimedia journalist. I was part of a team of reporters and producers that covered the fatal bus accident off US-83 in the Spring of 2016. I'm currently a freelancer in the Austin area.

While I have seven years of background in writing, photography and videography for two different newspapers, my true passion came about when I began to write, shoot, edit and present my own stories for broadcast at KCBD NewsChannel 11.
