I am experienced in working under pressure, to tight deadlines and at a high quality for international news organizations like CNN International, BBC, CBS and DW Deutsche Welle. Saman Khan has spent more than 16 years working in media as an anchorperson, reporter, assignment editor, Scriptwriter, researcher, feature specialist, and package producer. She was the Festival Director for the FACE Film Festival in Islamabad for 2016. She was the associate festival director for the I AM Karachi Film Festival 2017 with Mateela Films. She is the owner of KINO Films, an Islamabad based documentary production company and has been making documentaries independently, for broadcast, various production companies and for the development sector in Pakistan for over 10 years. She has an educational background in politics and documentary filmmaking and has also taught documentary production at a graduate level.  Her documentary “Letters From Death Row” was acquired by Al Jazeera for Witness. “Vote for X” that follows the election journey of a transgender candidate in the 2018 general election screened widely at queer film festivals across the globe. Her documentary “Qandeel" on social media star Qandeel Baloch was released by Guardian documentaries. It has nearly two million views and won the Leslie J Sacks Grand Prize Award. In 2016 Tazeen was selected to attend a workshop in Cuba mentored by legendary Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami. Tazeen has worked as a producer for two time academy award winning director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and also produced an episode for the Emmy Nominated Vice series WOMAN with Gloria Steinem.  Tazeen is the co-founder of the Documentary Association of Pakistan and is also currently developing her first fiction feature.
