Hello... I'm cinematographer Jeff Green from Knoxville, TN. I've been in the video production industry for over 20 years. During that time, I have traveled all over the United States and abroad a few times - Germany, Greece, and Israel. The projects I have worked on have been everything from simple web videos to corporate branding, documentaries, live action and even some short / feature film projects. Some of the corporations I have worked with have been NASCAR Studios, CNBC, Jupiter Entertainment, Sodexo, CSX Railroad, McKesson Medical, Ballad Health and BioMet to name a few as well as some non-profits like Tim Tebow Foundation, Dreams Come True, Kim's Open Door and United Way. What motivates me? Plain and simple, maybe cliche, but it's the story. I love being entrusted to capture the images that tell the story of your brand, your company, your non-profit or your film project. Give me the ideas you envision and I will craft the images necessary to keep the viewer engaged. What are my hobbies? Spending time with family and friends comes to mind first. Followed by photography, working out, hiking, anything water-related, and general exploring whether it's an antique shop, art gallery, a city or land I have never been to before... let me discover! By the way, I own a Sony FS7 Mark 2 camera package, Sony FX-30, Amaran LED bi-color mono lights, Smallrig LED bi-color mono-lights, Amaran LED RGBW panel lights, Camera Stabilizers, pro audio kit, small grip and lighting kit. I am well situated for interviews and small scene lighting in either a one or 2-man team as well as crews when the budget allows.

I have loved every kind of media since I was young. Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, Music, I ate it all up like a hungry man at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I am fascinated with the way stories can evoke reactions from people. Everything from laughter, to sadness, to fear, to anger, can be brought out by something that someone is watching and all I want to do is create things that bring these emotions to the surface. I pride myself on having a unique sense of style and flavor that will make people say "Wow, never seen that before". I strive every day to create my own voice to separate my works from the rest of the crowd and am always looking for feedback from superiors and co-workers alike so that I can make my works the best they can be. I am big on taking criticism as I believe the only way to get better is to be told what is and what isn't working. I have a lot of experience editing video and sound for various projects and have written many scripts that have received much praise. I have also written for independent films that are currently in production and have gotten great feedback from those who hired me. I always put just as much passion in to the projects I am hired to write as I do with something I come up with myself. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Her 2019 film "Coal's Deadly Dust" - a PBS Frontline and NPR collaboration - investigates the rise of severe black lung disease among coal miners, and the failure to respond. This joint investigation with NPR's veteran reporter, Howard Berkes, reveals the biggest disease clusters ever documented, and how the industry and the government failed to protect miners. "Coal's Deadly Dust" was nominated for a 2020 Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award, a 2019 Peabody Award, and two 2020 News & Documentary Emmy Awards for Outstanding Investigative Report in a Newsmagazine and Best Story in a Newsmagazine. I've got one simple belief that drives my personal and professional life: people need connections and the best ones come from communication that’s real and simple. A communicator to the core, all work and no play wouldn't really bother me, but I have my fun too: I love hanging out with my wife and three sons whether at home or on the road. We're all Disney fanatics who visit Disney Parks annually. I'm an amateur chef who spent this summer building a traditional brick pizza oven in my backyard. And like any real professional at a video production company, I'm an avid fan of watching movies. The project I'm currently most excited about is Finding Hygge, the first feature-length documentary film our team at 12 Stars Media has produced. It's a journey to find the real meaning of the Danish word hygge, through a glimpse into the lives of the happiest people on the planet.

Starting with school plays when I was young, I have always loved being "behind the scenes". Whether I am shooting stills, video, or doing technical work, my goal is to be a neutral observer. In tandem with this passion, is a love for story telling. As someone who enjoys learning above most other activities, helping others to learn through visual storytelling is important to me. Equally important is telling the story that YOU want told. Great stories are often the result of collaboration, let's work together today!
