Catherine Rose is a freelance self-shooting producer/director with experience of working with production companies large and small, busy newsrooms and International NGOs. Having worked on commercial productions and adverts, documentaries, news packages, charity films and 360 film/Virtual Reality, Catherine has a range of experience to call upon. Catherine is adept at working solo, as well as setting up and running large crews and teams on productions. She loves to use film as a creative tool to engage, inspire and motivate audiences to act. Working as a self-shooting producer and director for WaterAid’s in-house production unit for 5 years, she ended up managing and running the team of producers, freelancers and assistants. Whilst at WaterAid, Catherine directed award-winning short documentary ‘Across the Tracks,’ which explores how good sanitation can help keep women safe from violence in India. She also directed the interactive film, ‘Parallel lives’, which contrasts experiences of midwives in Tanzania and the UK; and realised WaterAid’s first 360/VR project ‘Aftershock’ from initial concept and pitch, through to directing, producing and distributing. The film has been recognised as one of the first successful uses of the immersive medium by an NGO and Catherine has toured the film at a number of festivals and screenings, sharing the impact of the project and lessons learnt. Aftershock transports the viewer to Nepal where a community looks to rebuild their lives after the devastating 2015 earthquakes. Catherine also helped launch investigative NGO Global Witness’s multimedia function by setting up the infrastructure and processes required to create and manage complex film and photo projects as well as producing legally complex films. Prior to joining the NGO world Catherine worked at ITN Productions and BBC Newsnight as well as at other smaller production companies and newsrooms. As a freelancer Catherine works on a range of projects across branded content and charity/NGO producing and shooting/editing. She loves both editorial and creative briefs and can deliver under pressure.

I was born in 1982 in Naples, Italy. With an Italian father and a mother who is a mixture of French and English, I’ve always had lots of opportunity and desire to explore different cultures. I spent my school years in my home city studying fine arts, architecture and sculpture at the Liceo Artistico (an art school). At 18 I moved for the first tome to the UK to study Film, Media and Video Production at New Bucks College. Since graduating 2003 I’ve lived and worked in the UK, Spain and Australia, but more importantly established a filmmaking career that has taken me all over Europe. My fluency in Italian, English, Spanish, French and international experience within the film and video industry has also led to many international film and theatre companies employing me as part of their Italian production team. Since 2015 I'm established in Bristol where I work as Multimedia Officer for the University of the West of England. Released in 2018, my short film "N" was shown in more than 50 festivals around the world and has won several awards.

I’m a zealous multimedia journalist born and bred in Perth, Western Australia who is passionate about travel, culture, politics and world issues. Having been fortunate enough to call the ‘lucky’ country home, I grew up with countless privileges and freedoms that I learnt many people the world over didn’t have. Travelling the globe with my family from a young age, I developed a yearning to highlight injustices happening worldwide, starting in my own backyard. That’s where my dream to become a credible and ethical multimedia journalist came from. I have worked for magazines, newspapers and websites including Fairfax publications and the Community Newspaper Group in Australia and The Evening Standard in the United Kingdom. I also have experience in photography, videography, presenting, editing and building social media platforms. I now call London home and endeavour to build my career internationally. I wish to highlight social issues and what’s happening in our world today

A completely self taught visual artist, specialising in photography and moving image. Christopher has developed the skills to hunt out a story, make contact, gain access and win people over worldwide. He lived in a Colombian community of drug addict rubbish recyclers, spending every day of a year getting closer to my subjects and gaining deeper access to the story. In the UK I infiltrated the Northern football hooligan gang, Burnley Suicide Squad and was accepted into an exclusive dangerous community being granted permission to film and access their private and often illegal antics. I seek to push boundaries and will do whatever it takes to bring a story to life and express the intimate yet sometimes sordid realities of life. Last year I created http://www.poisonflower.tv my first 60min feature documentary, currently on the film festival circuit. I infiltrated & lived for a year with a gang of homeless heroin addicts.

I inquisitively love to tell character-led stories through film and photography, on a variety of topics, such as women’s lives, human rights and traditions. Throughout my career I’ve worked alongside some inspiring charities and production companies. I’ve adapted to each brief which has seen me multitasking as a producer/director, editor and self-shooting camera woman and photographer. And due to the ever changing industry, it’s meant I have turned my hand to multiple other complimentary roles including research and idea development, co-ordinating film festivals, case study gathering and distribution producing. I’m a curious storyteller, continuously inspired by humans and nature. Multimedia content has the power to tell the most important stories of our time. My work aims to allow people to open their minds and connect to a cause, story or way of life. I specialise in finding the best medium to tell stories and bring them to life through film or photography to raise awareness and engage audiences.
