I've worked alone and under pressure, everywhere from Arab Spring Tunisia to undercover in Papua New Guinea. I'm a former head of video at the Guardian's Australia bureau, a former Agence France Presse VJ, and have experience d in the corporate sector producing bespoke videos. Elizabeth Tadic is an international award-winning filmmaker and journalist. Over the past decade she has produced a dozen short documentaries for SBS television programme "Dateline", working alone in the field as a VJ (video journalist). Her film MALARIA, MONEY & MURDER, an investigation into Nigeria’s fake drug racket, earned her a prestigious 2007 Rory Peck-Sony Impact Award. In 2006, she won a United Nations Media Peace Award for her trilogy WOMEN FOR JUSTICE. Prior to that, she produced, directed and filmed the award-winning one-hour documentary THE DEMON FAULT (2003), which was commissioned by SBSi. Elizabeth’s last documentary which she produced and directed UMOJA: NO MEN ALLOWED, premiered at IDFA 2010 and has won 12 awards including the Grand Jury Award at the 2011 Palm Springs International ShortFest and the Best Women’s Film at the 2012 Cleveland International Film Festival. Her passion is telling social justice stories that are creatively bold, inspiring and cinematic.

I started my career in photojournalism in 2010 because I couldn't resist the challenge, the travel, and the urge to tell the world stories from my home, Indonesia. My background is in humanitarian aid, working in remote parts of Indonesia after the devastating 2004 tsunami. As a freelance photographer, I cover major breaking news events for international wire services like Australian Associated Press (AAP). As a freelance videographer, I cover major documentary stories for international TV outlets like Swiss TV. When I go to both natural and man-made disasters, I draw on skills from my NGO life - quick thinking, sensitivity and understanding of difficult environments. I also have training in working as media in hostile environments. In 2013, I won Reuters Photo of The Year for my image of an ash cloud billowing from Sumatra's Mount Sinabung volcano. The award was not the peak of my career, but the beginning: of new adventures, stories and collaborations in this fascinating corner of the globe. Indonesia has thousands of stories to tell, including some urgent environmental and social challenges that deserve the world's attention. I have a record as being a reliable and experienced operator, working ethically and with open communication with clients to get excellent results.

I am an accomplished foreign correspondent, producer and video journalist. Over the past 20 years I have shot, produced and reported over one hundred current affairs length reports and documentaries in over 80 countries. I am currently working as independent Filmmaker and a Correspondent for the 'Our World' program on BBC Television. (2016-2020) I have travelled extensively throughout the United States on more than 25 feature assignments for SBS (2000-2014). My work at SBS has been complemented by work with Al Jazeera (2006-2013) and I have made more than a dozen films for the network's Witness, People & Power and 101 East programs. I have received a number of international awards including two New York Festivals Silver World Medals for Best News and Documentary Special, and best news reporter. I have extensive experience in reporting from hostile environments, including the Madagascar, Lebanon and the Caucuses. In 2014, I covered Thailand's political violence followed by extensive reporting from Eastern Ukraine from the start of the civil war to the downing of MH17.
