Don Shepard (USA b.1959) is an award winning photographer living and working in the United States. He's a visionary and an explorer. A photographer of people, places and things. He's rapt with the desire to create honest imagery that transcends time. Educated in forensic and medico-legal photography, Don developed his craft during a career as a law enforcement detective, producing thousands of images used in the prosecution of violent crimes. ​ He retired in 2009. ​ Don is a vetted member of the Kansas City chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and the Chicago chapter of the American Photographic Artists (APA), both of which hold their members to the highest creative and professional standards. He has produced images for national publications including Million Dollar Round Table, Golf Digest, Scientific American and others.

I have a degree in Graphic Design from Iowa State but I fell in love with the camera my second year of college. After picking it up for the first time 6 years ago, and bringing it with me almost everywhere since; I've been putting down the camera more to be a Stills Assistant to train and learn under the local Commercial Shooters My ADHD brain has allowed me to learn and explore many artistic avenues throughout my life such as designing custom typography, filming and photographing skateboarding, playing drums in a punk band, and DIYing the majority of the things I own. Having this heavy multimedia background allows me to offer unique solutions and abstract ideas, not only in conception but through theoretical and tangible execution.
