Alexander has directed, shot, produced, and edited a wide variety of film projects ranging from commercial, music, and art videos that have reached millions online, to documentaries that have been featured in film festivals internationally and broadcast nationally. He has shot commercials for major brands such as Google, USAA, Jagermeister, and Georgia Power. He has also shot projects for HBO, CNN, VH1, Discovery, Fusion, NYtimes.com, Great Big Story, and CNBC, as well as created a number of fundraising videos that have raised tens of thousands of dollars for New Orleans youth programs. While it is rare to claim propensity in both the director and DP roles, having directed (and edited) two award-winning, feature-length films, Alex has become fluent in every phase of production, developed a strong understanding of perspective, story structure and emotional rhythm, as well as learned how to effectively delegate and lead a team. But the merging of his background in visual art with an infatuation with cinematography has him most often finding himself on set as the director of photography. While having a love for directing, he feels most at home with a camera in his hands, composing frames, painting with light and color, and crafting a visual language to serve a story and a directors’ vision.

Raised partly in Charleston and Columbia, SC, I graduated high school in May, 2005 and joined the U.S. Navy seven months later. After serving five years as a Mass Communication Specialist (I spent most of my time as a Photojournalist), I was honorably discharged and moved to Charlotte, N.C. to attend the Art Institute of Charlotte. Here is where I realized a real passion for Cinematography and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. Since then, I’ve been living in the jungle as a Freelancer and loving it. I'm an Oscar-nominated and two-time Emmy-winning filmmaker and photographer based on the East Coast, USA. For over 30 years with Turner Broadcasting: from his early days as a Video Journalist for CNN to Director of Photography with Turner Studio’s elite Film and Video Unit, Mike was awarded the opportunity to travel the world creating stunning imagery. He was hired directly out of college and worked his way up and around the Turner organization, broadening his experience as he went, including: field sound recording, long format post-production editing, videography, and field producing. Sarah Batista is an award – winning journalist, speaker, entrepreneur and filmmaker. Before launching Stories to Inspire, Sarah spent a decade as a reporter and anchor in local television news. In 2013, she left WBTV news in Charlotte after seven years to pursue her dream of documentary filmmaking. As an investigative reporter, Sarah covered a wide range of issues and draws upon that experience in her storytelling. Over the course of her career she’s worked for ESPN, Comcast Sports, Turner Sports and CNN (Atlanta and London). She hosted an entertainment and lifestyle show for NBC Charlotte, covered sports for CBS Atlanta, and produced video for USA TODAY Network. Gabriela Díaz Arp is an independent director and producer passionate about the ways visual language can deepen human understanding and connection. She has directed and produced a number of independent films, exhibits and interactive experiences, as well as co-founded production companies Rabbit Raccoon and Las Palmas Studio. Some of her clients include New York Times, Blue Chalk Media, CNN International, Univision, Emory University and the United Nations. She is currently working on her first feature film in her motherland of Puerto Rico. The film, Matininó, tells the story of a multi-generational family of women transforming their experience with domestic violence and misogyny into a science fiction film. Her last film, Meeting a Monster, which explores the memories and motivations of former white supremacist Angela King through a virtual reality experience, premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival and was shown at festivals around the world including Cannes NEXT, Sheffield Doc Fest, Atlanta Film Festival and New Orleans Film Festival. Gabriela has a Master's in Visual Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been a Knight Fellow with the Sundance Institute, a participant in Oculus’s VR for Good program, and most recently a Studio IX grantee, honoring her work as both a mother and filmmaker.

On the road, I‘ve covered hurricanes and presidential campaigns; and especially enjoy producing in-depth reports. My career in journalism started at The University of Maryland at College Park. To pay my way through college, I worked as a news aide for The Washington Post, and as a production assistant for WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C. I’ve worked for television stations in Dayton, Cleveland, Raleigh, Houston, Orlando and Washington, D.C. Community involvement is very important to me. I serve on the volunteer board of CAPN Clinics, a charity of medical professionals who provide free care to people who are homeless and families in crisis in Atlanta. I’ve been an after-school tutor for disadvantaged students in D.C., a career day speaker for numerous middle schools and high schools; and an instructor for college students for the NABJ Broadcast Short Course at North Carolina A&T State University. Right now, I also mentor several college journalism students. Jeremy Frindel is a documentary filmmaker specializing in intimate portraits of inspiring individuals. He has produced and directed two feature length films, One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das and The Doctor From India, both distributed theatrically by Zeitgeist Films and screened in theaters throughout the US, and in festivals all over the world.
