Meet Lane. The Chicago Tribune asked us to do a piece about their investigative reporting division. This client was looking for a video to describe who they were and how their services helped people. Editorial Storytelling Techniques This short 2-minute reel was created to show several examples of video interview set-ups. In this piece, we hope to showcase different lighting, audio and interview techniques. I am working on a series of stories exploring creativity. My goal is to profile a variety of people working in creative fields. I would like these stories to be a resource for others as they explore their creative journeys. Ever since we seized fire from nature at the dawn of our civilization, it has defined us. We have prided ourselves on our ability to control it and shape it to our needs. However, the same fire that fuels our internal combustion engines and powers our industry is overheating our planet. Short film written, produced, shot, and edited by myself. Aerial spotlight of the University of Hartford. Facility spotlight and promotional overview for Bluestreak Sports Training's main facility. J Day Off Road never disappoints, but neither does New England in autumn. The foliage mixed with the snow squalls made for a super fun day of filming.

About Kelsey E.
I'm an ex-communications consultant-turned freelancer. I've got loads of experience in documentary films - from short form to feature, as well as working on a number of music videos. I work mostly as an editor, but if you ask me I think editors are the real story-tellers in the film world! I've got a passion for travel, and have lived abroad in both the United Kingdom (4 years) and Norway (1 year). I love cross cultural stories, especially ones that involve art. I write for a digital film magazine called Verite (www.veritefilmmage.com) and love the idea that learning about and experiencing art should be an open opportunity for everyone in this world - art is how we tell our stories and experience our shared histories and it couldn't be more important to living in a harmonious, multi-cultural world community. I'm currently based just outside NYC, working as a freelance editor and film journalist and constantly on the look-out for new video journalism opportunities.

About Babs P.
I have always been compelled to go see what’s out there, with my “desire to know” outweighing my “fear of the unknown.” Whether it was "running away" from my grandparents house (as my grand mother put it) when I was 5 years old, because I was bored and wanted to see what my Grandfather was doing, or backpacking through the Balkans photographing the complexities of culture and history in post communist/post war communities. I am curious to see and share the possibilities and hope in these overlooked, often marginalized places. I'm inspired to examine and explore the lines on a face, weave of a fabric or set of a stone...each dropping clues to its origin and history.

About Kenneth K.
My name is Kenneth Klemens, I am a multimedia producer and photojournalist focusing on short documentary films in the feature and news genres. My passion is photography, specifically its unique ability to tell a story with a silence and stillness that no other medium can. I held an internship at the Cape Argus Newspaper in Cape Town, South Africa for four months as a news photographer. I believe a story is best delivered when shown rather than told. Visual journalism, bringing my audience to a place or event is what I try to do with each story. I am a University of Connecticut graduate of 2015 and I am currently freelancing for multiple organizations at UConn. I'd like the opportunity to work on a creative team at some publication or website and collaborate with others in editorial work and content gathering.

If I had to sum my life up with one word it would be passionate. Film and television is a process that I thoroughly enjoy being a part of. There is nothing more exciting than capturing the world and making it into something that is worth watching. I am truly passionate about my career and learning new things about it. I’ve dedicated my life to providing professional video services; weddings, music videos, commercials, news stories, documentaries, short films, live sporting events, family outings, live concerts, behind the scenes, and even just a fun trip to the local zoo. Whenever I find downtime I’m usually busy perfecting my passion, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity of making it my career.
