I am a Spanish journalist and audiovisual producer. For the last 9 years I have been working as a video-journalist: doing interviews, filming and editing videos for Associated Press, BBC, Channel News Asia, International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and others. I speak Spanish, fluent English and Portuguese, so I also work as a fixer and translator. I also work as a field producer and researcher. I'm a Portuguese with a Master Degree in Documentary Cinema in Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires, Argentina. My first film is about a group of squatters in Porto, Portugal, featured at DocLisboa 2012 (International Documentary Film Festival) in the Cinema de Urgência Section (Urgent Cinema). My second short film won best film in the competition of New Cinema in Porto/post/Doc International Film Festival in Porto, Portugal. It was also screened in festivals around the world, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. My stories are mostly related to topics about politic and economical situations, the position of people against the austerity imposed under the south European countries, travelling and the world in general.The second part of my activity is related to experimental video and live visuals. I've also studied journalism. I really like to give a creative visual touch to my pieces while working with what is more authentic.

In the development of these studies, I received a grant by the International Cooperation Office of the same university to make a photographic project about the situation of Christian minorities in the Palestinian Territories. Finally, this work was published as book by the University. I am working now on VR 360 video. Recently, my videos about Roman city of Italica (Spain) have being featured by Google Cultural Institute in the launching of "Wonders of Andalusia" page in the Google Arts & Culture Project. I am experienced in photography of performing arts, sports and documentary projects about minorities in postconflict areas. My photographs have been published in newspapers (Wall Street Journal, ABC, El Mundo, El Correo de Andalucía, La Razón), Revista Ejército, digital platforms of photojournalism and specialized media in archaeology and performing arts. From 2014, I am also director of studies and teacher of the Continuing Training Course Photography of Performing Arts, at the Faculty of Communication of the University of Seville.

In 2009 I traveled for 4 months in the Brazilian Amazonia in a professional project uncovering untold stories from Belem to Manaus. Lately I have been working in Mozambique and I've lived in Jordan (2013) to research and co-write the script for a documentary on Palestinian Refugees in Gaza Camp, in Jerash. I'm a PHD candidate on Communication For Development in Porto and I'm a Professor on Journalism at Universidade Lusófona do Porto.
