Alexander has directed, shot, produced, and edited a wide variety of film projects ranging from commercial, music, and art videos that have reached millions online, to documentaries that have been featured in film festivals internationally and broadcast nationally. He has shot commercials for major brands such as Google, USAA, Jagermeister, and Georgia Power. He has also shot projects for HBO, CNN, VH1, Discovery, Fusion, NYtimes.com, Great Big Story, and CNBC, as well as created a number of fundraising videos that have raised tens of thousands of dollars for New Orleans youth programs. While it is rare to claim propensity in both the director and DP roles, having directed (and edited) two award-winning, feature-length films, Alex has become fluent in every phase of production, developed a strong understanding of perspective, story structure and emotional rhythm, as well as learned how to effectively delegate and lead a team. For over 30 years with Turner Broadcasting: from his early days as a Video Journalist for CNN to Director of Photography with Turner Studio’s elite Film and Video Unit, Mike was awarded the opportunity to travel the world creating stunning imagery. Gabriela Díaz Arp is an independent director and producer passionate about the ways visual language can deepen human understanding and connection. She has directed and produced a number of independent films, exhibits and interactive experiences, as well as co-founded production companies Rabbit Raccoon and Las Palmas Studio. Some of her clients include New York Times, Blue Chalk Media, CNN International, Univision, Emory University and the United Nations. She is currently working on her first feature film in her motherland of Puerto Rico. The film, Matininó, tells the story of a multi-generational family of women transforming their experience with domestic violence and misogyny into a science fiction film. Her last film, Meeting a Monster, which explores the memories and motivations of former white supremacist Angela King through a virtual reality experience, premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival and was shown at festivals around the world including Cannes NEXT, Sheffield Doc Fest, Atlanta Film Festival and New Orleans Film Festival. Gabriela has a Master's in Visual Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
