I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. For over 15 years, I have worked as a photo-journalist, covering stories and documenting the life of minority ethnic groups in Asia, Central America and South America. I have worked as director and cinematographer in numerous short films and commercials. I'm a passionate storyteller, educator, consultant and speaker about video production for social media and visual storytelling. I'm also an instructor at the Connecticut Broadcasting School in Doral, Florida. With my films, I believe firmly that when it comes to telling the untold stories of people doing something to make a difference, there is no story too small to tell, no story too big to touch one heart and change the world for good.

Dayvee Sutton is a two-time Emmy Award Winning journalist, travel host, media entrepreneur and speaker. Over the course of her career she’s worked for ESPN, Comcast Sports, Turner Sports and CNN (Atlanta and London). She hosted an entertainment and lifestyle show for NBC Charlotte, covered sports for CBS Atlanta, and produced video for USA TODAY Network. Now Dayvee is a national travel correspondent with monthly segments on HLN, TVOne's "Sister Circle Live" and the syndicated shows “The Jet Set TV” and "Coffee with America." Gabriela Díaz Arp is an independent director and producer passionate about the ways visual language can deepen human understanding and connection. She has directed and produced a number of independent films, exhibits and interactive experiences, as well as co-founded production companies Rabbit Raccoon and Las Palmas Studio. Some of her clients include New York Times, Blue Chalk Media, CNN International, Univision, Emory University and the United Nations. She is currently working on her first feature film in her motherland of Puerto Rico. The film, Matininó, tells the story of a multi-generational family of women transforming their experience with domestic violence and misogyny into a science fiction film. Her last film, Meeting a Monster, which explores the memories and motivations of former white supremacist Angela King through a virtual reality experience, premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival and was shown at festivals around the world including Cannes NEXT, Sheffield Doc Fest, Atlanta Film Festival and New Orleans Film Festival. Gabriela has a Master's in Visual Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been a Knight Fellow with the Sundance Institute, a participant in Oculus’s VR for Good program, and most recently a Studio IX grantee, honoring her work as both a mother and filmmaker.

Currently, I’m a freelance photo editor at CNN Digital, although “freelance” is a bit of a misnomer since I work nearly full-time. Since June 2019, I work with a team of photo editors to license the best photography on the wires for nearly all stories on CNN.com. By choosing engaging photographs for our homepage and story card images, we help stories be seen by millions. We also create news-driven photo galleries for ongoing and breaking news events, as well as source imagery for other CNN franchises, such as CNN Travel, Business, Style and more. Getty Images is one of our main sources for finding relative, newsworthy images to pair with our stories. Through this job, I’ve become familiar with many Getty Images staff photographers’ work and the Getty Images interface that clients use to download photos. I am also a regular freelance photographer at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Athens Banner-Herald in Athens, Georgia. I’ve covered a variety of assignments, including high school and college sports, political events and rallies, K-12 schools and intimate profiles on individuals and their communities. Most recently I’ve covered important stories related to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 presidential election and Georgia senate races, and protests following the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks and Breonna Taylor.
